A family-friendly stay near Niagara Falls

Travelling with kids is easier with a kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a door of your own. Our private suite in Thorold sleeps up to four and is about 15 minutes from Clifton Hill and the falls.

Why families choose a private suite over a hotel room

Hotel rooms near the falls are busy and small. Here you get a private walkout entrance, a full kitchen for breakfasts and packed lunches, laundry on site and a quiet neighbourhood where bedtime actually happens.

  • One private bedroom plus a sofa bed in the living area, sleeping up to 4 guests
  • Full kitchen and coffee station for early starts and easy meals
  • Washer and dryer for beach-bag and boat-tour clothes
  • A travel crib is available on request
  • Self check-in with a smart lock, so late arrivals are no problem
  • Free on-site parking

Tips for visiting Niagara Falls with children

Start early at the falls, when it is cooler and quieter, and keep Clifton Hill for the afternoon and evening. Mid-week is calmer than weekends, and the WEGO visitor bus saves you re-parking between attractions.

  • Pack a change of clothes if you plan to ride the boats
  • Book boat tours and Journey Behind the Falls ahead in summer
  • Come back to the suite for a rest, lunch or nap, since you are only 15 minutes out
  • The Niagara Parks Adventure Pass can save money if you plan several attractions
